February 11, 2018. We hit some weather off the coast of Big Sur. It was too much for us; too much for the boat. We started taking in water. We called the Coast Guard, and eventually were airlifted off a sinking Bella Gina. Everyone onboard made it off safely, including Tili. This was the year we stayed on friends’ couches.
2018 ♡ Grand Canyon
March. My birthday weekend, we were moving out of one friend’s house and into Brian’s family’s house in Santa Rosa. My birthday gift was a detour: we packed up all of our stuff and drove 14 hours east to visit the Grand Canyon. Winston had never been before. We rode bikes around the rim.
2018 ♡ Santa Rosa
April. Brian’s parents own a small farm up in Santa Rosa. They keep a cow and some chickens there, as well as Earl the Emu.
